Connecting a tach to 3.0 l

I have a caravan with a 3.0 l engine. Does anyone know how to connect a tach (external, used for testing) to the engine? Thks.

Connect the tach input lead to the coil negative, connect the ground lead to ground. IOWs, it's the same as any other single coil ignition system.
