Do what Geoff recommends, but I think the short answer is "no." I think it was around 1998 that the transmission was changed from having a purely mechanical (hydraulic) governor to having a tonewheel feed to the PCM which assumed the function of the governor. Your PCM will not control the new tranny, if my dates are correct. Double check me, but I'm fairly certain that your trucks are on opposite sides of the change-over.
No, the '98 transmission is computer controlled and has no provisions for a speedometer speed sensor. Swapping the '98 into a '94 would entail also swapping in all of the computer components and the rear end. John
