has anyone had the problem with suspension stiffining on the front wheel dirver side so that when you go over a bump it feels like there is no give at all. Also over heats after only 15-20 min's normal driving.

Perhaps you need to change the front spheres of the suspension or of the activa system. The overheating could be caused by faulty temperature valve.
