i have a 65 Mercury truck i am slowly working on.. i am going from a 300 - 6 cyl/4 speed to a 390/c6 auto...i have already been tld i can use the 6 cylinder mounts for the motor but what i was wondering is.....could i pick up a set of mounts/crosmembers for a 352/auto combo and use those?? btw....year of the motor/tranny is 1967...thanks ahead of time for all advice

JayI have no idea about your switch,but could you tell me what model"Mercury truck"you have?
just the standard 65 Mercury half ton..wish it was a shortbox stepside but its a longbox
AFAIK the transmission crossmember is the same for 6-cyl and V8 trucks. You'd have to slide it back a bit, but the holes should already be drilled in the frame for the crossmember.
