My dad has just gone to corfu and has been asked to source a pair of wing mirrors for an Austin 1100 by one of the locals.... The age of the vehicle is yet to be found out.....
Where do I start looking :-s

There are many companies that do the sort of mirrors used for this, do a search for period after market accessories.
Anywhere? AFAIK they should be fairly standard equipment on most British cars of the time, so most specialists should have either identical ones, or something suitably "period". Try Ebay as well.
They'd have had proprietary makes like Desmo fitted - if at all. There was no requirement for factory fit in those days unlike door mirrors today.
You can still buy period types. Have a look at Practical Classics for suppliers.
