Has anyone experience of having car body panels galvanised prior to painting. I know the galvanising process can warp panels and that it also might be difficult for paint to stick to a galvanised panel but is it viable.
Thanks

Galvanising requires calcium plumbate primer before any other paint will take, otherwise the paint just comes off in sheets. I wouldn't say that it was practical for a car. Peter C.
Many modern cars are at least part galvanised at the factory. So there must be a way of painting them. ;-)
They use Etchprimer same as used when painting aluminium alloy and GRP.
