Goddamned Christine. Never before has a car been so deserving of the name.
After setting up the timing on my new Aldon ignition I've just fitted to the Capper and shutting the bonnet, I noticed the tell tale sign of rust - two small finger nail paint blisters just starting to show to the right of where the worst bit on the bonnet was when I had it resprayed. The bit that was leaded is fine. Because it was covered in road muck, I'd not noticed it.
Ah well. I guess it's a case of run it until Easter and look at a fibreglass replacement. Not going to chase the stuff across the front of the bonnet for the next few years.
Are those ones from Smith and Deakin any good?
