Engine compartment lid hinges , there are springs attached to the lid hinges we need to know where are these springs attached to .....? Thanks in advance .......Ian Kentish , Bendigo AU .

Top of spring to the flat steel brace - the two part piece that stops the bonnet flipping too far forward - there's a hole drilled in it for the spring. Bottom of the spring to the U shaped tubular frame that connects the bonnet to the hinges. It has a small wire loop welded to it to take the spring. Same both sides.
This is from memory, which isn't what it used to be...
