There is a Citroen BX near me, and every now and again I see the owner start it up and wait patiently with the engine idling (and it is a diesel so it idles slowly) until it eventually lifts itself up to ride height, and then he drives off.
I have often wondered - if he drove off as soon as he had started the engine, would it damage anything? Can anyone with a pump-up Citroen tell me if it is essential to wait for the suspension to lift, and why?
