Parts Shipment

Hi all,

I purchased an O/D gearbox for my TR6 on eBay from a seller in Birmingham and have arranged transport to Canada, via container, from a firm in Colnbrook, Slough. My problem is how to get the gearbox from Birmingham to Colnbrook which, I understand, is about 60 miles. I can't ask the seller as I've already stretched his patience about a mile in taking most of the past

3 months to arrange the trans-Atlantic shipment without breaking my wallet!

Can anyone recommend a cheap trucking company that can do this for me remotely? I guess I'm suggesting I could pay them through credit card and provide pick-up and delivery addresses, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would be gladly repaid with a brew of choice during any Canadian excursions ;-)

Hmmm - it's 106 miles according to mapquest. About 1.5 hours drive.

I live about 10 miles from Colnbrook and have a customer coming to see me soon from Warwick near Birmingham. If you email me the collection address I'll see if he can collect it for you and I'll drop it to Colnbrook.

I'm not at all sure why women like men. We're argumentative, childish, unsociable and extremely unappealing naked. I'm quite grateful they do though.

Ah. I also have a friend coming back from Wales via Birmingham on Sunday with a trailer and if you get me the details in time he might be able to do it too.
