Where to buy rubber washers?

Jan 24, 2005 5 Replies

I want to remount the electric fans in my car...

I don't want tap washers or specialist injection moulded rubber products. I simply want to buy a dozen washers of approx 1.5mm to 2m thickness, approx 15mm diameter with a 6mm hole in the middle.

What could be simpler?

Why is it impossible to find a retailer on the internet? I find this unbelievable. The local hardware shops are no good either. Surely such washers are available off the shelf somewhere?

I use old inner tube and a set of gasket punches of varying sizes for this sort of thing.

Dare I mention Screwfix?

Yep thats what I would do also. Wad punches and insertion rubber. Make your own.

Even find some tube the right diameter and sharpen the end to punch out the washers. This thickness you could drill out the centre.
