Of course you've seen Team Cadillac at the track. In 2004, their debut season, Team Cadillac's race-prepared CTS-Vs won the pole and posted a 1-2 finish in their competition debut in Sebring, Fla. In 10 events, Team Cadillac posted three victories, four poles and five podium finishes. Not to bad for a belle coming back to the ball.
A couple of days ago Team Cadillac CTS- V racers Ron Fellows, Andy Pilgrim and Lawson Aschenbach survived constantly changing weather conditions and heated competition to finish second, fourth and sixth respectively in the sixth round of the SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT series on the Toronto street course.
In 2006 all three of the Team Cadillac CTS-V race cars survived the season finale of the SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT race at Raceway Laguna Seca.

There are a lot of reasons why Corvettes will not sell well in other countries. Europe is NOT the world either so tell me what the Passat sold elsewhere such as in the US, Japan or China ? With such small numbers to start with, percentage increases will look large.
The Callaway Corvette is not considered a production car. How many Callaway Corvettes were made? CALLAWAY Corvettes are VERY SLOW as even ELECTRIC cars in the NON- Production Car Category are faster. The Thrust SST is also in the Non-Production Car Category to show you how slow a Callaway Corvette is in ITS CATEGORY. Brinign up the Callaway Corvette is even stupider than brining up a VDUB like this

In case you aren't aware of this little boy, it is a function of money. Exactly how many Corvettes can you buy for one W12. Exactly how many W12's are sitting at your local dealers lot. Hell how many W8's are there either?

WTF, the W8 has been around since `04.

Wait wait. A couple of posts back you just said it was a brand new car. Additionally the list was well over 90k, not 40K. You on drugs or just stupid?
American cars SUCK. Here are the top 18 GPS Confirmed Speedo pics from speed demons from around the world on Highways and Tracks. NOT ONE OF THEM is an American car.
If Corvettes are so good PROVE it. Make it into the top 10 and POST a pic on the need for speed website PROVING how good American Cars are. THEY SUCK and are technologically inferior and that's why none of them are in the top 18.

Well maybe that is because there is no "new" W8's, they just didn't sell at 90k+. Now you might see a run of the mill Pissant running around, but they are rather pedestrian.

Yeah, but they aren't the best selling midsize, nor best selling Sports Car either now are they?
I knew an old gal who claimed to have the best tasting pussy as well. Ya just need to get a taste of something else to know she was full of shit. That or turn'er around. Beat you'd like that now wouldn't ya boy. Come on now squeal like a pig.
Sorry folks got carried away in a Deliverance Moment. Ta-da-ta-dum

BFD dumbass. Saying anything sold somewhere else, ain't sayin a whole helluva lot when your talkin bout the USofA.
NAME One other MIDSIZE car besides Accord, Camry and Passat that that sold more than 300,000 units on any continent in 2006? 331,414 are DAMN good yearly sales for most cars world wide, but that's just what the PASSAT does in Europe alone and it's very popular in the Middle East, Australia, and other places too and the most popular European Midsize Car in America. Corvette sales worldwide are nothing compared to Passat Sales.
If you'd actually read the thread, you'd realize that the GTI W12 Twin Turbo was being discussed there.

Passat W8s cost about 40k in the US when it was still being produced not 90K. The GTI W12 Twin Turbo may be 90K if it ever goes into production that is.

My Vette's are in the garage as well, daily driver is a 07 SRX with a Northstar. Got a little bit of everything in that one, and some get-r-done as well. 320 hp, 4.6-liter V8 for $44,060, with 69.5 cubic feet of cargo space & a 4,250 towing capacity. Gotta travel long distance twice a week to the work site & back. Vette sure was fun as hell to drive, but forget about carrying much of anything. I get back to my babies on the weekend.
That's the kind of attitude that's sadly going to make China the world's lone HYPERpower and the USA a hasbeen like the British and Roman Empires. I hope that this kind of attitude is rare in the rest of the US because thankfully it's rare in my part of the country especially among my classmates at college.

Now, now don't get about dissing the CTS-V now. Just bought a Northstar SRX, same basic platform stretched out station wagon style. Ain't no vette, but the Vette couldn't carry what this baby does either. 320 hp in a Station Wagon type vehicle ain't that bad., Oh I forget, they're Cross-Over SUV's not Station Wagons. Whatever.
That's because they're not the same type of car... family car vs. sports car.
