Sometimes you can find the body build sheet under a seat, in the springs or placed on top of the fuel tank.

Ron has the only answer... unfortunately GM did not keep the records for early Corvettes; the National Corvette Museum sells build sheet copies for 1981 and newer Corvettes only:
