I have a 2000 Dodge Status with 73k miles. The rpm's races to zero while driving. After stopping the rpm's goes back to normal. It seems to only happen first thing in the morning. Took it to the shop they claimed they couldnt find anything- only conclusion was to have distributor cap changed. While driving 3 weeks ago the car died- changed battery, however, the rpm's are still out of control. HELP! what's going on?
