Tower Automotive to cut 430 jobs by mid-July
A total of 430 jobs will be lost by mid-July when Tower Automotive
discontinues production of Dodge Ram frames at its Milwaukee plant,
the company said Friday.
The company announced last year that production of truck frames for
the Ram will be moved to Mexico this summer.
In a notice Friday to the state Department of Workforce Development,
Tower said most of the 430 employees will be laid off between June 29
and July 12.
Employees being cut include 413 union workers and 17 salaried
employees, Tower said.
