In the mornings when I try to start my 99 Intrepid it will start then die three times and then not hit at all. The error code is P1685 "skim invalid key". In the afternoon after work it starts every time, can't get it not to start. This happens with either set of keys.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

You may have a bad skim module, take it to the dealer and have them perform diagnostics tests on it

It was the skim module $85 for the module $80 labor $135 to reprogram the keys.
