Aux tran cooler hose 2000 Intrepid

Feb 28, 2007 3 Replies

There is a small hose that feeds tran fluid to the aux cooler that is leaking. It makes a hairpin sharp bend, so a regular hose would kink if used. Chrysler only sells the hose with the cooler! So they want $325 for a kit that I only need a small molded hose from. Has anyone had success fixing this without buying the kit?

Thanks

You're dealing with a moron. Each cooler line is available, but you never stated what engine you have.

2.7 engine - part # 4698965AB pressure line 4698960AB return line. Both are around $22 - $26 3.2 - 3.5 engine 4767055AB pressure line 4767050AB return line. Same pricing as above.

If it is leaking, more then likely it is at the clamp and not the hose. tighten the clamp

The mechanic looked up those part #'s and said those are the lines that go from the transmission to the radiator, not the ones than come from the cooler itself.
