1967 Automatic Shifter

Hello Guys and Gals I have a 1967 camaro with a factory center console. I converted the Slip and Slide to a Th350. The problem that I am having is that the factory shifter is pretty sloppy and worn. I would like to get a new one however no one makes a complete 1967 Camaro Autoshifter. I herd people installing a B&M or a Hurst Shift in the factory console. which model would that be and would you have to cut any part of the center console? Does anyone have an Original is very good condition?

Chris, you may just need to replace the grommets/bushings.

Just some FFT. (food for thought)

I have a 67 with a B&M shifter. I didn't have to make any modifications to my console. Actually I am putting back the stock shifter that I found on eBay many moons ago. I am going to sell my B&M.

I'm sure there are folks out there that rebuild OEM shifters to work like new.

I know Hurst does them for theirs---they are the OEM on the one on my '79 Pontiac. Joe--ASE Certified Parts Specialist & 10th Ann.Club Tech Director '80 Carousel Red Turbo T/A, 26k orig. I want to thank you for the recomendation of the Pertronix ignition; it is much better than the Delco points eliminator.
