'96 Pontiac Sunfire Brake Problem

Mar 06, 2004 1 Replies

I have a friend w/this car (never catch me DEAD in one :) and when he starts his car when it's cold outside or if it hasn't been used for a while, it will wobble for a while, and the brakes will clamp down hard when he applies a small amount of pressure, causing the car to jerk. He's taken into a brake place and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Any ideas?

Check alldata.com on the "technical bulletins and recalls" area. I believe these cars had a problem with the ABS pump.
