any idea where the low side port is on the 3.1 motor. there is one line that runs parallell to the motor with an orifice on it. i was looking for a second fitting but could not see one. the car is a 97 grand am gt. any ideas?

Yes, But since you are NOT qualified nor certified to service AC systems I won't tell you. Spend the $29 at the local AC shop and have it serviced properly.
