I completely forgot about this site and saw it in my favorites. I dont think I have posted since I first got my SS 4 years ago. I have done so much to it since then including the LS1 motorsports turbo kit. Anyway, this is bringing back a flood of memories
No kidding. I'm just back after couple year absence. Very little traffic. Hardly any Camaro talk. I imagine a lot of the old timers just got tired of all the lame trolls and flame wars. I think that's why I gave it up. After awhile it just becomes a PIA to have to sort through all the crap for any interesting posts. I just dropped back in to see if there was any buzz on a new Camaro. Sadly, I've not seen any.

Also, DarkDesire, the original group "Vampire". (Apologies VMM) I last heard from him when I was in his town. I e-mailed him my cell number and he never called back. Took 2 weeks for the e-mail to bounce, too. (This was in the days before Mailwasher...) Anyway, IIRC, his gf had just found out she was preggers. Hope he's OK wherever he is...
Ah. Madmax. Lol. Think he ever picked up the GTO that CB "promised" him? LOL!
Patrick G. isn't NoOp Patrick. I'm NoOp Patrick. If I remember correctly, Patrick G. used the nickname Patman. We tried to arrange a meeting between the two of us -- he lived in a part of Canada that's near my hometown in Michigan -- a few years ago, but it didn't pan out. Then, after I left to live overseas for a year or so, I lost touch with him. Last I knew he sold his T/A and bought a GTP.
Anyone have a good e-mail address for Patrick G. (Patman)?
I read the story about the Tigress in another post. Please tell me it isn't true.
Kenny is another one I lost touch with. He was pretty good guy.
Lyons posted mainly in the Mustang NG. He took a lot of flack from it seemed everyone (I don't know why.) and, I think, tired of the NGs. Yes, he still posts once in a great while.
Considering someone posted an original VIN # as well as cowl tag, I'd say the proof was there.
It's great to watch a clown kick himself in the ass without even trying. LOL. Joe--ASE Certified Parts Specialist & 10th Ann.Club Tech Director '80 Carousel Red Turbo T/A, 26k orig. I agree, but the TerverBot can not handle being proved wrong. I followed him to one of the aviation groups. It was so hilarious, I told SBM about it. He laughed too...
If not a Small Block Pontiac, what does one call the 301? Heh., with out cussing. It's really the only Poncho modern Poncho V8 with a different block. Charles
No such thing as small and big block Pontiac. :) Joe--ASE Certified Parts Specialist & 10th Ann.Club Tech Director '80 Carousel Red Turbo T/A, 26k orig. '79 "Y89" 400/4 speed 10th Ann. T/A, 57k orig '84 Olds 88 Royale Bgm 2 dr, 307 "Rocket" (lol), 141k and still going.... '80 T/A project car...
You didn't notice the "heh" at that comment. In the Modren Poncho V8 family you have the 301 then the 326 thru 455 block. Calling a 301 a SBP is an only shop joke. Just like painting valave covers gold on any Olds 350.
I used to "be" here a lot. Now, I just lurk. My '95 Z-28 has ~700hp MORE than when I bought it in '95 and my path down that crazy road started here! Thanks, I think???
You brought back some memories, including that "Dr. Mark" guy. I suspected he was a BS'er all along. Partly 'cause I am a doc and some of the med stuff he mentioned in passing just seemed a little "off".
It's really closer to 1,000hp (850rwhp through an automatic with a loose converter) using both N2O and a Procharger F1. Still running with emissions, full interior, etc. and I have a best of 10.22 sec at 140mph with a 3,850lb race weight (convertible, no weight reduction).
