i have 97 ford exlporer that is making a cracking noise and a thumping feel in the front when i turn shapr like into a parking space only at slow speeds 10mph or less HELP

In that case, check the front axles very carefully; chances are there's a bearing/joint going bad.

Check the rubber boots on the CV-type joints in the front end to make sure they are not cracked and leaking grease. Also make sure all the stabilizer bars and linkages are tight and in one piece. Be careful with front end problems - get an experienced mechanic to look at it if your not sure as a problem up here can be dangerous.
