97 Explorer Dashboard Light Bulb

Jan 06, 2004 2 Replies

Seems a dashboard light bulb has burnt out on the console of my 97 Explorer. It may sound silly to some, but I hate having a dark spot around the 55-75MPH on my speedometer at night. Has anyone replaced such bulbs, and if so, is it very difficult to get to them? Not sure if I should attempt it or not.

Read down a few threads and you'll see the same question and the answer from Bob Kegel. Never hurts to read a bit before you post.

I found this today..., it is to change the gauges but it is the same procedure and this has pics. Good Luck, I'm trying it out this weekend.
