car vibration when brake

Hi Group,

My Ford Explorer'99,77k miles that has problem with vibration. It is vibrating everytime I brake. Also it happens when I run on uneven road. Any input is greatly appreciative.

You most likely have warped front brake rotors. Don't bother having them machined, they'll just warp again in 10,000 miles or so. Buy new front rotors and your problem should be solved.

Sounds like you have a warped rotor, take it to a machine shop and have it turned. Gary

I agree that warped rotors will cause a vibration when braking, a very common problem when impact wrenches are used.

However the uneven road phenomena indicates problems with the front suspension this could be a potentially dangerous condition, HAVE IT LOOKED AT by a competent alignment shop.
