Water Leak - Drivers Side

99 Explorer XLS

Rain or water poured below the windshield (Near the wiper motor) comes inside the vehicle near the parking brake. It is not just a drip, but runs in. I don't think it was a gradual failure but something that happened quickly. We had been driving on rough, dusty roads so I'm suspecting something broke or plugged as a result of that.

I found a couple of similar situations with a Google search, but never saw an answer. I would greatly appreciate any help as to where to look next.

Thanks

Why have you always asked if you were suspecting something broke or plugged as a result of that?

Epigrams succeed where epics fail.

Will have a look?

I had my '02 for a few months now and just found the cause of a nasty draft on the passenger side. The bottom right hand corner of the windshield is unsealed...about a 3 inch long area that has no caulk. It leads directly out to the cowl. Windshield replaced...maybe, or not installed right at the factory. Check the windshield.
