RABS sensor issue

Hey everyone you've got a great group here and i'm hoping someone can give me a hand.

I've got a RABS light on in my 92 Explorer EB. And when I checked the code readout I got code 9. This tells me that I have a high sensor resistance. Well I took the speed sensor out of the rear axle housing and measured it and got 1.5 Kohms on it which is too high so I replaced it. The problem now though, is that my RABS light is still turning on and it is still indicating that I have a high sensor resistance. I'm stumped as to what the problem might be now. Does anyone have any ideas???

Maybe you just need to clear the codes and see if it comes back.

When does the light come on? When you turn the key does it come on right away, does it not come on till you brake normally, or does it only come on when you brake hard? What you might try as a diagnostic is to unplug the connector and short the terminals together so it should sense a low resistance and see if you then get a code 10 to at least verify that the wires are good all the way back to the connector. If that still gives you a code 9 you must have a break in the wire harness somewhere.
