Hello All,
>I have a 2000 EB e/w 5.0L and AWD that I purchased in January. It currently
>has 52,000 miles on it. I was reading the "Scheduled maintenance Guide"
>yesterday and notice that at 30,000 miles one of the items recommended to
>inspect/change was the transmission/transaxle fluid. It lists several
>transmission types, for example...AX4S, AX4N, 4R70W, 4R100 and 4F27E. >
>I am a bit confuse about which transmission I actually have. I have the Ford
>Workshop manual (Vol. 1 and 2). It only lists 2 transmission types...5R55E
>and 4R70W..unless I missed something. I am not very familiar with AWD
>vehicles at all. Two questions...
>
>1) Which transmission/transaxle comes on the AWD 5.0L Explorer and
>2) What is the recommended fluid change frequency.
>
>Any help here would be much appreciated.

>Thanks,
