You may need to remove the knee bolster (some call it a hush panel) from below the steering column. Might take some searching, but you will find the cable for the shift indicator. There is a small, white thumbwheel on the cable for adjusting the needle position. Double check to be sure that there isn't some other cause for the misadjustment (bent or worn linkage, etc.).
