'91 eb. Today my ex. started to sound like a diesel... It only does it when I push on the gas. Once the rpms get a bit higher then it goes away. I does it some when in park but is more noticeable when driving.
Sorry this sounds vague. Hopefully I can get some ideas for what to look for on Monday.

By ex. do you mean ex-wife? Lots of them sound like diesels after a divorce. If it happens only when you push on the gas maybe it's because she's pinned between your vehicle and the wall?? And if it goes away when the rpm's get higher it probably because she can't get enough air in her lungs to make a peep. Don't know why the ex. would do it more in park unless it's just because she can breath again is starts ragging on you some more. If it then gets more noticeable when driving it probably cuz your ex. is caught on the bumper.
As for what to look for on Monday, look for a younger blond.
Probably an exhaust leak. Poke your head around and listen around the exhaust manifolds and see if you can pinpoint it.
It is most likely louder when driving (at low MPH) because the engine is under load and probably a little quieter at faster speeds because the load is not as great unless you accelerate pretty fast.
