I've noticed that my windshield wiper blades don't seem to be pressing down on the glass as firmly as they used to (1999 Explorer Limited, 100K miles). Should I replace the entire arm assembly or will replacing the springs do the trick, assuming I can buy them as separate parts?

Before anybody flames me or accuses me of being illiterate, yes I do know windshield [original subject line] contains a "d" - just wasn't paying enough attention. ;-)

Go to NAPA, or someplace of equal or better quality, and get the whole arm with the spring assembly. This includes the rubber wiper. That's what I did and it worked out OK. Bill V.
