i can?t shift out of park with the brake depressed, tried trouble shooting by depressing emergency brake turning key to lock, removing key, depressing brake, inserting key, turning key to off and tried shifting to neutral but still wouldn?t shift, i?m assuming its the shift lock actuator but i don?t know where to locate it or what it looks like, i did check the fuses too, can anyone help?

Look around for an emergency release for the lock. Most cars have them. Most likely a small cover you pry off and then there will be a tab you push to unlock it. At least you can drive it.

check your brake lights and switch
also try to shift to neutral with key on and then start the car and shift
