The moonroof on my cougar has been acting up lately. When you close it, it used to stop in the closed position and then continue to the next position. But now if you are going from the vent position to the fully open position (or the other way around) It doesn't pause before it goes to the next position, it just keeps on going, and it's really hard to get it in the closed position and not have it open a little bit. Any ideas or suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

There has to be some sort of sensor that tells the car when the moonroof is in the closed position. Probably you have a bad sensor. Unless the sensor is easy to get at, you will have to take the roof appart. This is probably a job for the dealer.
You might be best off getting used to figuring out how to close the thing without fixing it. It will cost $$$$.

YEP YEP cause the sensor is in the electric roof motor housing so you have to change the whole thing!!! Costs some money if you want to get it fixed!
