Hi All,

does anyone have any ideas why my 1999 UK ford focus has started to "not start first time", the garage have checked the spark pluggs and adjusted and cleaned them but the problem remains. it does not have to be cold or wet just left for more than 6 hours and it does not happen all the time.

The car has just been serviced at 70K miles

"not start the first time" meaning if you turn it over a few times eventually it starts? Maybe your IAC valve is dirty not allowing the necessary air to mix with the fuel to start the cold engine.
