estimate price of a ring and valve job?

Hi, Ring jobs aren't done much anymore. Reason is that anytime your rings are shot the piston and bore probably are marginal too. And its way too expensive to tear your motor apart just to put rings in. If you just need a valve job, the head is removed and reconditioned, the head will cost around $150 to have it done, labor to remove and install it is probably at least double that. You have a fairly simple engine to remove, tear down, and rebuild, and if you do it yourself you would probably have $600 or so into a like new motor.
