Gas smell on Bronco

Dec 05, 2006 2 Replies

Hey all, any thoughts on an old carbed Bronco...

It's an '80 with a 351M. Holley 600cfm 4bbl with vacuum secondaries.

Lately, there has been a gas smell coming from it after it has been parked for anything length of time. No apparent leaks. New gas tank and filler hose last year. Carb is only a year old too. Fuel line *looks* okay. Runs good.

It's the weirdest thing. Thoughts guys?

Thanks!

Brad

Look down the throat of the carb after you shut it down. I'll bet you see gas dribbling. The float could be set too high, leaky power valve, or leaky accelerator pump circuit.

Good ideas... Thanks!

Brad
