Hi all,

Just wondering if it's possible (practical) to change a 1992 Ranger 3L V6 from Auto to a manual trans.

Thoughts ??

Thanks much,

Perk (:>)

I have a 94’ ford ranger and the person that had it before me changed it from a manual to an auto. i dont know him, so i dont know what he went through doing it. But now my tranny has gone bad and i am thinking about switching it back to a manual. so i now that its, possible, just dont know how hard.

i have a 94 b3000 same truck as the ranger, the only thing personally I know about switching from auto to manual because my friend was going to is that it does require some type of welding with mounting the clutch or clutch plate can’t remember which but other then that i don’t think it’s to much more effort we’ll i mean replacing the trans isn’t easy, when i had mine it was half out and all seized up i just sent it to my mechanic and a week or 2 later i had it back like new money but whatever you do best of luck to you and your truck long live

94!!
