1999 expedition with 9.75 differential pinion seal is leaking how hard is it to replace and what tools will be needed to do the job thanks

Hardest part is getting the nut that holds the yoke to the pinion shaft off. seal just prys out, tap in with hammer and brass drift or block of wood tools needed, a torque wrench to torque the pinion nut back on. Do Not use a an impact gun to reinstall, or you will mess up the crush sleeve, and the clearance between the pinion gear and the ring gear.
