any ideas? where are the sensors for doors located? TIA
You may be able to get it working again by spraying contact cleaner in the door latch area on the rear edge of your door. You will probably find a small hole that an extension tube can fit in. Then open and close the door several times after cleaning.
I coated the piss outa the latch and area with wd-40. open and closed many times and so far it seems to be working. Ill try again tomarrow and see how well it works. i think this solved the problem. Thanks!
Hmmm, good tip. Just last weekend, my interior lights and door ajar indicator were stuck on for a few seconds a couple times but started working again before I could figure out why. I figured that the problem would come back eventually. I'll give the switches a spray.
Stephen N.---> good timing...
Well, you shouldn't be using WD-40, because it attracts dust. use graphite instead. Dust will clog up the switch again and you will be in the same pickle far too soon.
HR.
