Please Help: I can not stand the ding dang bells that go off every time I open the door with the key anywhere near the ignition, the frantic headlight warning chime, the seatbelt buzzers and that annoying bing x 6 that tells me the engine runs. Where are these sounds from? How does one stifle them.
Stick your head up under the dash when the noise is present. On older models, the chime used to be on the firewall, just above the brake pedal. You should be able to unplug it and simply return the chime to it's holder. When the time comes to sell, simply plug it back in.
