1966 Buick Skylark Vent Window weatherstripping

Mar 29, 2008 1 Replies

i have a 66 skylark, ive been restoring for 3 years coming to the finishing stages, weatherstripping, the vent window weatherstripping is extremely stubborn. i was wondering if there is any type of lube i can use that wont effect adhesive to help slide the rubber into the channels easier

thanks joe

Do not use any silicone based product! Try dishsoap and water. Vent windows can be particularly troublesome, since there are very sharp angles, short runs, and the hinge that they have to contend with. Slow and easy, and work you way along.
