92 Buick LaSabre

Does anybody have any idea what this problem could be: I have a 92 LaSabre, and when I first start the car (cold) the transmission will not engage. But, as soon as it warms up it will engage, but as soon as you come to a stop - nothing. I then put the car in "Park", turn off the engine - restart the car and away she goes. Now, if I don't put the car in overdrive, but leave it in drive - I have no problem. Thanks, Mark Silva snipped-for-privacy@verizon.net

Try changing the fluid.

Thanks Steve, but I did try that first. I changed the fluid and filter, but no luck... Mark

Could be TCC solenoid problem, could be low pressure. See if there are any trouble codes stored, sometimes a trouble code regarding the transmission does not illuminate the MIL.

I can look through some more dianostic info to see if anything comes up, but you should take it to a transmission specialist, I'm sure they have heard it all.
