What year cavalier? 1987-1994 the paint code was on the upper radiator support by the left headlight ass'y.

It's on the spare tire cover as well, but it's also on a metal plate riveted to the upper radiator support. Did you already look for this metal plate? What colour is the car?

I looked but there is nothing there. The car is metallic silver.
