Last 90Km service it was mentioned the air con filter needed replacing. Local parts dealer had them at ~$100 Aust, about $80 US. Took it out, washed it gently in warm soapy water and let dry in the sun laying flat on a paper towel . Perfect. Probably after 2-3 washes it may need replacing. Just took about 10 minutes running to dry off residual water.

They are probably some sort of synthetic material and can take some washing.
You may do better ordering from the US when you need one. They are about $25US from Amazon or parts dealers. Even with shipping you should come out ahead.
