Manual shows nice picture of the key ignition switch (page 5-6) and multiple references to it.
The only problem is that I cannot find it.
So, am I going mad/is it hidden well/it does not exist in this model?

Some models have a keyless system. You have the fob in the car and just push the start button.
If you have a key system it is usually on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. If you don't see it, wait until dark and it will light when you open the door.
