Parking lights

Several times over the past I would say six months my parking lights seem to randomly go on overnight. (2013 Sonata). How is this possible? One time I hadn't driven the car at all and it happened. I keep the lights in the on position and they go off when I turn off the ignition and remove the key. Is this even possble? Help!!

Never heard of it happening and I have no guess as to why. I'd put it in the Auto position and see if that corrects it.

That happens on my 06. In my case the car thinks there is still a key in the ignition. The little contact piece of metal in my car's key slot is either worn out or sticky, so when parking long term, like at the airport, I make sure I turn the lights to OFF. It's been like that for years. Suppose I could fix it but I just don't feel like it.

My Sonata 2010 occasionally locks the doors all by itself. I am guessing that it responds to some of my neighbors' wireless signals. Maybe your car gets the signal and thinks of an ignition key being in the intermediate position?
