Hyundai Key fob issue (2023 Update)

Hello everyone. I posted a while back about parking lights going on in the middle of the night. I just turn off the lights now so I don't have to worry about it.

Someone I know suggested I change the battery in my fob and I did so today. I put it all back together again and now it doesn't work at all. It was working fine before I changed the battery.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Is the battery upside down? Does it's little light blink when pushing a button?

If your key fob stopped working after changing the battery, there are a few possible causes:

  1. The battery may not have been inserted properly. Make sure that the positive and negative terminals are facing the correct direction and that the battery is securely seated in the fob.
  2. The key fob may need to be reprogrammed. Many vehicles require the key fob to be programmed in order for it to work properly. Check your vehicle's manual or contact the manufacturer for instructions on how to reprogram the key fob.
  3. The key fob circuit board may have been damaged. If the key fob circuit board was damaged during the battery replacement, it will not work. In this case, you may need to buy a new key fob or take it to a professional to repair the circuit board.
  4. The vehicle's system may have a problem. In rare cases, a problem with the vehicle's electrical system can cause the key fob to stop working. In this case, you should take your vehicle to a professional to diagnose the issue.

It is recommended that you check these things and try to fix the issue, if you are not comfortable with it, it is better to take it to a professional.
