sonata 2001 auto trans trouble shifting

its a 4cyl. 2.4 ltr and yesterday started taking of in 2nd gear and hard shift into 3rd but will not shift into overdrive. it has 92k.miles and the trans hasnt been serviced yet.any idea's? some sensor? or is the trans gone? thanks, rob

Is your check engine lamp on? Check for trouble codes in the ECM and TCM. Could be simple. But also possibly not.
