93 trooper fuel warning light

Hi, I have a 93 trooper sohc withe fuel warning light keeps on. The fuel gauge works OK. Dealer will charge $70 for diagnose. Anybody has some experiences on it?

Guess what? I think everyone think about sending unit, but I replace it the instrument cluster, and it's gone!
