Why the hood ornaments are of different size. although they are identical down to the same color

Drake, When you are talking about the leaper on the bonnet, you have to keep one thing in mind. The last year the Jaguar factory placed a Leaper on a bonnet was 1970 with the 420G. This was because the laws in the UK had changed and hood ornaments were no longer allowed in the UK.

When you see a leaper on the bonnet of a Jaguar between 1970 and 1995, it is because the Dealership placed it there. If you go onto Ebay, you will see many Jaguars for sale that do not have the leaper. Because it was up to the dealership, you will see every type of leaper on the bonnet of an XJ6 from chrome to gold, from 5" to 7". It all depended upon what the dealer provided or the buyer requested.
