I seem to be missing the part that makes the rear window washer spray onto the glass. The little hose just ends and the fluid goes straight into the air. Is there supposed to be a little nozzle or something on the wiper arm?
the liftgate struts won't hold the hatch up in cold weather. It keeps closing onto my neck. Can the struts be fixed or do they need replacing?

The struts need to be replaced. My new ones lift the hatch themselves. Just get new ones from napa or the like. the rear sprayer hose connects to a small barb on the wiper arm itself. The squirter is at the tip of the arm part that holds the blade. KH
My '90 has a hose running the length of the arm (inside) from the output nipple on the hatch to a nozzle built into the end of the arm near the blade pivot. Sounds like you have a short length of hose still attached to the nipple. If so, your hose is either broken or just popped off the nozzle.
Tip: when you attach the hose to the nipple and nozzle, use tiny zip ties to keep it from popping off.

They are sealed and non-serviceable. They should be replaced in pairs.
NAPA carries them, about US$30 each.. Be careful to NOT close the hatch without the little safety wire clips installed on all 4 ends - a strut can pop off the ball with dangerous results. And be sure you have new clips in the packages with the new struts - they sometimes get "misplaced" by a salesman.

My father's 1986 Cherokee had the rear wiper washer problem. It was actually kinda fun to leave it unattached and spray the tail-gaters.
